The Trump Ocean Club in Punta Pacifica, Panama is beginning to look like it is nearing completion. The exterior structure is completed and most of the windows are placed. Construction has been moving at full speed with work being done beyond regular working hours and sometimes late into the night. The project management crew is doing a good job making sure that this building gets done as scheduled.
The project’s sales consultant has reported that 85% of the units are sold (as of September 2010) and is expected to begin closing on sales at the end of 2010.
This grand scale project will be a 2,900,000 square feet (269,000 m2) in size and is planned for 369 hotel condo units, 700 condo units, 1500-1700 parking spaces, retail shopping, a casino, the use of a private beach club on a Pearl Island, yacht club and pier, wellness spa, gym, pool deck, meeting and event spaces, and a business center.
Donald Trump was introduced to Panama during his 2003 Miss Universe Pageant that was held in Panama. That’s when he is said to have fallen in love with the country and saw the business potential in Panama. He decided to have The Trump Organization’s first real estate investment in Central America to be in Panama City.
Donald J. Trump of the Trump Organization is not the only entity involved in the project, Mr. Roger Khafif, President of the K Group, a resort developer in Panama is also a major player in the buildings development. It seems that sales have been continuing to do well and construction is not far off from the expected completion date.
