At a recent meeting with President Martinelli and the Minister of Education, Lucy Molinar to commence the beginning of the 2011 school year, President Martinelli made a promise to purchase computers for each student in National Schools. He made this statement while giving a speech at the Bolivar Commercial Institute.
His goal, as he stated is “to help students to be part of the global technological development…and that all the time the students will invest will be highly rewarded and rewarded in later life.”
The education system in Panama has not been rated highly in the past but more focus is turning towards the improvement of education with several important investments in the pipeline.
