California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is urging the United States to ratify its pending free trade agreements with Panama, Colombia and South Korea.
“The U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement, and two others, has been gathering dust in the halls of Congress for over three years,” Schwarzenegger said at an American Chamber of Commerce breakfast in Seoul on Wednesday. “And while we stall, other global leaders are picking up the slack.”
The governor says that the deals are vital to Washington’s goal of doubling American exports in five years and will create tens of thousands of jobs for the U.S. economy.
